In this section I'll try to give you some advice about using screen capture software (HandySnap mostly) in your daily work. You will learn from these short tips how this software can help you to save some time, automate several annoying tasks and improve your and your team's workflow.
Hello! welcome to the new wisepixel.com web site. This is the very first post here, but I hope not the last one :) Feel free to comment anything related to HandySnap and this site here.

Excellent program, I use it about 20 times a day, nothing can match it if you have to show quickly and clearly what you want or what you see on your screen !

Hey, I don't know a thing about the program, but I like the web page

I haven't bought the program, or used it, but I've been looking for a little app like this. I always have to load up Photoshop and quickly paste and crop and save. This program WOULD save me time, and yes, time is money.

In my daily work of creating Training Materials for a class of Software Developers, HandySnap is THE ONLY TOOL I use for capturing dialog boxes and cofiguration screens.

Inspirational screenshots
I bet every web designer has a folder called "Inspiration" in his or her browser's Favorites. This is a must-have thing which helps to keep your mind fresh and open to new ideas. But handling its content is a real pain. Just try to remember why you added the 34th URL to it 3 months ago... yes, it's difficult.
Having the same troubles I've found the better approach: I keep screenshots of that inspirational pages instead of their URLs.
Having HandySnap the task is very easy. First of all create a folder for your inspirational screenshots, for example c:/Inspiration. After that change HandySnap's settings as shown on the pictures below.
Now to make a screenshot of a site and save it you just need to press the "Print Screen" button and select an area on your screen to capture from. Screenshot will be taken, named and saved automatically.
And the last thing: I'd suggest you to turn autonaming and autosaving options off when the work is done.
